Sizing & Facts About My UseI'm very pleased with this shoe. I wear a Women's 6.5 and purchased the small. You can see I have extra length on the shoe but it does not make the shoe clumsy in use, and I prefer the extra protection. I probably should cut off the length of the velcro straps, which would not impact the shoe's performance.In addition, the rocking heel allows me to put the shoe on loosely and use my heel to balance a little bit. My foot is fractured near my small toe, so this may not work for anyone else. The bottom of the shoe is fairly rigid, and keeps my foot flat and protected.I'm glad my doctor told me getting a boot would make my ankle stiff and suggested this shoe, instead.The price is good on Amazon, the product seems as if it will be durable. 5Good ValueJust the thing for a broken little toe. I could walk fairly normally, and it was far lighter than the boot they put on me originally, which was to used with crutches--overkill for just a broken toe. More comfortable than trying to put on a shoe. I could wear with thick socks. Fit as described. Good value, not expensive. 5Worth the money.This shoe is a good quality and is supportive. The soul is really supportive and walking in it is easy and comfy. I'm glad I picked this one! I wear an 8 1/2 shoe and this is fine on me. There is space in the toe but it doesn't feel awkward. 5Great for a broken toe.This is perfect for my broken toe. It has some support at the back and sides, it's adjustable for my narrow feet and it has hard sole. It doesn't have a large rocker bottom, but enough that when I stand my toes are lifted off the ground and all the weight is on the heel. 5Great for Support and ProtectionAfter dislocating and breaking a couple toes and consequently being unable to walk without serious pain, I purchased this Vive walking shoe after a recommendation. I didn't hold much hope for it helping, but I was willing to try anything that would allow me to walk upstairs to my bathroom or go to the grocery store with less pain. Seriously, I had tears running down my face from pain when I went to the store before ordering this shoe, and it's not like I was wearing heels or some other ill-thought footwear when I went to pick up milk and fruit! I couldn't stand long enough to cook, really, or even get my mail from the mailbox during this time. Desperate for food a few days after breaking my toes I ordered a pizza. The kind delivery woman could see that I could barely stand to take the box and asked if I was okay, and I told her about my foot. She said "you should be wearing a boot!" I thanked her for the advice, and got on Amazon.com immediately after eating a few slices. Lots of boots to choose from on Amazon, in a wide array of price ranges. Since I had only broken a few toes, I decided a full boot was probably not necessary and narrowed it down to this Vive shoe and another, both of which had good reviews, and decided on the Vive.I purchased the Medium size which states in the description that it fits a US Women's shoe size of 8.5 to 10 I generally wear a US Women's size 8 or 8 1/2 depending on the shoe. As you can see from my uploaded image, the medium fits me just right with about 1/2 inches of room to spare for toe protection while wearing a pair of cushioned but not very thick socks. I recommend that if you wear a US Woman's size above 8 1/2 that you order a large. It may be a little big but you want to protect your toes - you wouldn't believe how many times I've inadvertently bumped my foot into things while going about my business, and this walking shoe saved me from both serious pain and perhaps further damaging my toes.I've only had this walking shoe for about 10 days and have worn it constantly when not sleeping or showering, and I'd wear it in the shower too if I had purchased two so that one would always be dry. It's pretty difficult to shower properly when one foot is basically unusable making one's balance unsteady!Since I had only ordered one shoe, I've been wearing a crocs on my other foot for balance although any shoe with a height of about 1 inch would work, or maybe even an athletic shoe. For me, my fuzz lined crocs shoe works because I can easily walk in them with socks and the height is right while also providing a similar sole feel as the Vive walking shoe. I haven't had any problems with the sole cracking as some reviews have stated, but I'm not really putting the shoe or my foot through the ringer. As I stated, it's been about 10 days of wearing it in the house, out for errands, walking the dog, and while working out daily. I'm super happy with this purchase, and if by some chance it does break before I'm healed I would just order another one at this price point.As some have noted, the straps are quite long. After wearing it for a while, I found a comfortable tightness and cut the straps accordingly. The two lower straps, the one over the toes and the one over the arch, have a piece of velcro that can be removed and replaced where needed. If I had one complaint it would be that the top strap closest to the ankle does not have this removable velcro. I've just been kind of tucking the excess under so that it doesn't snag on things.Overall, I'm super happy with this purchase. Great product! 5Happy foot! Note regarding the velcro straps.Works great. Good deal for the money. I noticed some people posting negative comments regarding the velcro straps. I think some of these negative comments are a misunderstanding of how the straps work. The shoe has three straps that are adjustable using velcro. Out of the box, the straps are probably too long for most people and need to be adjusted with the excess strap being cut off with a pair of scissors. Do note, there is a one inch piece of velcro on each strap that is removable. Pull this one inch piece of velcro off and move it along the strap to fit your foot, then cut off the excess strap. On a negative note, the top strap on my shoe was missing the one inch piece of movable velcro. Fortunately for me I had a scrap piece of velcro in my kitchen junk drawer that quickly fixed the problem. If I didn't have a spare piece of velcro I would have been annoyed! The shoe is fairly comfortable and keeps your toes from bending when you walk, which is what I needed. Hopefully after a month of wearing this shoe my foot heals! 5... wear this for a while due to a really bad sprain from a basketball gameMy husband had to wear this for a while due to a really bad sprain from a basketball game. This took off a lot of pressure and he was able to walk around work and sometimes even walk the dog. It was really useful and made of good quality. It rained a couple of times while he was in this boot and his foot/socks did not get wet at all! We did have to cut the velcro straps as they were way too long. My husband wears a size 10.5 and we got him a Large but it seemed as the space in front is maybe a tad bit too long. Either way, it got the job done and allowed my husband to get around with not much discomfort. He did take it off to drive but only because of his paranoia that he would somehow crash with it on but he says you can feel the pedals with this boot still. 4Works Great - My foot is getting better, shoe is holding up well.This shoe has worked out great for what I (and my ER Doctor Brother who wants me to see a doctor) believe is a broken foot. I weight over 350lbs and it has held up well for the last week since I got. I try to wear it 24/7 and Which includes wearing it in the garage as I work on my Jeep a few times, Wearing it while taking a friends kids to a Nature Museum/Zoo on a 2-3 mile walk, and more. The only reason I give it 4 stars is I don't like one of the velcro straps as it uses a second piece to hook the loop together (but it works fine and I guess makes it more adjustable to keep the strap ends down) - Yes you may and probably will need to trim the strap lengths down, but better too long and cut, then not long enough. My recommendation is if your foot or toes are hurting BUY IT !!!! 4Terrible qualityThis shoe lasted 9 days before it split down the middle. Luckily, I'm almost done wearing it, but this is a really expensive investment if it has to be replaced weekly. There are no excuses for the shoe to break this quickly, especially since I haven't walked a lot in it. 1I love it. It gives me the same rocker support ...I love it. It gives me the same rocker support that I need as I broke my fifth metatarsal in May of this year & had been in a high boot support with a rocker heel that averted the pain in my foot. I feel like I'm on my way to recovery with a shoelike support. 5
