Product Description Product Description
  • ONE SIZE FITS 4 FINGERS AND THUMB: The universal trigger finger splint design can be worn on any finger, index, middle, ring or pinky, on either hand. Fasteners allow the splint to be easily adjusted for the perfect fit accommodating finger widths up to 3. Producing a secure fit, fasteners are extra strong to reduce slipping and bunching.
  • EFFECTIVE TRIGGER FINGER RELIEF: Provides effective relief from stenosing tenosynovitis, or trigger finger. Splint supports the finger to reduce stiffness and to prevent the finger joint from locking up or catching.
  • BUILT IN ALUMINUM SUPPORT: Lightweight aluminum brace is integrated in the breathable neoprene wrap to provide superior support for stiff fingers. The rigid aluminum brace prevents tendons from catching and the joint from bending to promote healing and reduce pain and discomfort.
  • BREATHABLE MATERIAL FOR ALL DAY COMFORT: Constructed with a lightweight breathable neoprene, the trigger finger splint will not slide or bunch. The breathable material wicks away moisture for comfort day and night.

Cheap And Effective!!!!Having previously had an injection into the base of the ring finger on my right hand, I was curious to see if any of the "trigger finger" splints would give me any relief instead of having the (relatively minor) surgery on my hand that is the next step in the treatment process. I did a bunch of research on the surgery and on the various splint designs to get a better feeling for where to go from here.I became aware of this problem when I woke up one morning and my ring finger was locked into a claw. It was a bit painful but could be released with a simple pushing back motion. However it became worse each day until I had to see a hand surgeon and have a shot of cortisone into the base of the affected finger. The objective of the injection is to reduce inflammation in or around the tendon sheath. The results were immediate and beneficial, but the symptoms reappeared 30 days later. It should be noted that I do a lot of outside work in our yard and that I am 68 years old. I could of course return to the surgeon for another injection but I've always been concerned with fixing the structural problem instead of just treating the symptoms. I've gone that route before, including having pain blocks and injections in my spine, and not had any long-lasting relief. Surgery should be a last resort unless you find yourself locked into periodic treatments that provide only temporary relief -- until even they don't work any longer.Since I just had (another) back surgery 60 days ago, I decided to order this Vive Trigger Finger Splint for the princely sum of $12.99. And it works! I wore the splint day and night and it took about a week for the finger to relax. I have continued to work outside with tools that require a firm grip with my right hand, but my symptoms have improved dramatically. In addition to the splint I have been doing some of the exercises found on "Healthline". The exercises I selected are the "finger extensor stretch" , the "O exercise", and "finger stretches". Others are available on the site and demonstrated by video. 5ImprovedUpdate (March 2018): Adding a star for a couple of different reasons. First, a representative from Vive reached out and refunded the price for one of my previous braces (the one I had taped together). When I was thinking about getting another, I looked these up first and saw that they were not available. I got distracted and didn't order anything right away, but decided to do it a week or so ago (I keep losing the darn things (they don't attach to anything)), and saw that these were available again. What I got was a different product. It's bulkier, with a plastic piece to run the strap through. Surprisingly, it was also less expensive.Original Review (October 13, 2017): I got 2 of these, so I won't lose the one I must have for sleeping. The strange thing is, the two - purchased a couple of weeks apart - are of different quality. The Velcro on one is constantly coming loose, which defeats the purpose. I use it for gaming and frequently have to pick it up and fix it. The other one does what it should: keeps me from making a tight fist while I sleep. It's also stupid expensive for what it is. 4Comfortable but not really stableThis splint is supposed to stabilize your joints so you can't bend them. Mine fits comfortably, but I can still bend the joint ( joint #1, at my finger and hand) 30 to 40' which I don't consider being stable. I've also had to literally tape it to my palm to keep the base part in place and not flopping around. Wish they came in sizes. That may help. This product was recommended by my surgeon, so I'm sure it works on his other patients. 3Buy this - NOW - really!OMG! This little splint is a life saver! My finger, arm and shoulder would get "tingly" and sore. My knuckle would stick. I was in awful pain! I don't know how it works, but this little miracle makes it all better. My only "complaint" is that it's not waterproof. If it was, I'd wear it 24/7! I take it off when my hands are in water and when I'm using the bathroom, otherwise it's on my hand. Can't say enough good things about it. Buy this - NOW! If you can afford it, but two. This thing is small and you will set it down and spend a day looking for it. LOL! 5Small problemsThis was actually for my boyfriend and he would rate it higher except for the following...It is working pretty well but the Velcro edges of the part that goes around the finger bends and it scratches; as well as the bottom most part of the splint which makes it curl up. 4Great product! This is a great product! It was well made and very comfortable. Since I started using it a few days ago, my trigger finger problem has been under control. As explained by different websites as well as the seller, you need to wear this for a couple of weeks. It doens't work overnight but it certain keeps the finger stable enough so it doesn't lock with pain. I am glad someone told me about this. I didn't even know it existed. I have been dealing with this pain for months and now I finally have it under control. The velcro is long enough to wrap around without any problems. If you have trigger finger problem, give this a try. I highly recommend it. 5Good in theory, but the execution/design of this Vive finger splint is lacking, unfortunatelyAs I've been using this I do not wear it 24/7....I take great care with it, and still, the velcro is losing its ability to adhere. It's described as having strong velcro, but the teeth of the velcro strap (actually I should describe it as a strip....because the word "strap" lends itself to making this splint sound stronger than it is, smh) are losing the ablity to grip. Very aggravating when I take care to place this on my middle left hand finger and then realize in a matter of minutes is flopping around. I can undo and tighten it thus using a spot on the vecro that is "unused' but doing so requires tightening the velcro strip to the point of discomfort. The stenosis creates enough discomfort without adding to the issue. I think it was suggested that a user adjust and tighten the strip, and then simply slip the entire splint onto the finger---but that means that we users (and customers) are having to make up for a design flaw, which considering the price, is rather unfair. In trying to decide how best to use it to benefit myself via keeping my finger straight, I've had to adjust it at times, have had to move it.....but it's not a constant undo and redo situation. In the back of my mind, I do think about the faults of it....alongside the actual price of it, and of course I want it to last.......I need it to last....and I do NOT use it on my dominant right hand, i'm using it on my left hand middle finger.....but still, doggone, it's beginning to come undone. Another issue, other than the velcro is the length of the lightweight aluminum piece incorporated into the design. I have small hands/short fingers.......a petite persons hands-----yet the aluminum simply isn't long enough. To have made it a little bit longer, would help. I've had to devise an additional non permanent velcro strap to literally tamp down the extended aluminum piece--for the cost of your splint, an optional vecro strap that could be removed at will would have been a nice afterthought. Smh.. Now I'm facing having to add yet some variation/an extra piece somehow to the top, or a rubber band or something to the top to keep the original strap fastened....it's useless to my finger if I don't figure out something. I'm going to have to try another brand and desigh, or just give up and return to a popsicle stick stretch bandage splint.......which I disliked to the poiont of being driven to finally shop online and find better. Literally having to bind your finger is frustrating---what's a person to do if their budget is nil, and their primary care insurance lacking? I can't afford a steroid injection, and certainly can't deal with having surgery on my finger. 2GREAT PRODUCTI got relief from trigger finger the first night I wore it. I used to curl my fingers at night, and wake up with pain in my finger. There are no instructions with this product, but just look at the page advertising the splint.. and you will see how to wear it.It is not necessary to undo the velcro each time you wear it. People who do that complain the velcro wears out. Just fit it on your finger once, then slip it on and off when you want to wear it.I am very pleased with this splint. 5Worked Very Well!Wore it a few hours for one day, then about 4 hours as I was sleeping (it is very comfortable, didn't even know it was there) and my trigger finger felt significantly better. I have worn it 2 more times for 3-4 hours while sleeping and my finger feels fine now. Have to admit I was skeptical at first but this is really a little gem. I thought I'd be stuck wearing it for weeks, never expected it to work so fast. I'm very happy with it and highly recommend it. 5Disppointing After Short Wearing.I've had this about 2 weeks now. When I first received it I thought it might really work well. It did the first week. Unfortunately the metal splint part only extends from the part on the hand to where the finger adjoins the palm. With a short time of wear this makes the bending of the finger when doing things like cooking go as far as it did before so you end up again with a locked finger only this time with the support brace on your hand. Not a good product for the long haul. a big disappointment. 2
