Absolutely the best Jerk Seasoning!I found this years ago in a local store and fell in love with that first batch. For some odd reason that store stopped carrying this seasoning, so I spent several years meandering through numerous other store bought options. None of them even came close. Then I realized I was an idiot for not just finding this online and buying it. I did exactly that a few weeks ago and it lived up to all my past experiences. The jar I got years ago came with a little hang tag that gave you the instructions to add a tablespoon or two of vegetable oil and then a tablespoon or two of this seasoning to your marinade and then let it sit on the meat for at least 24 hrs. This batch didn't include that instruction so I figured I'd share it. I actually use a good bit more seasoning than recommended because I like things very hot, but you really can't go wrong with this stuff! But it now....5Just like the real thing!Very good! Tastes like the jerk chicken I had in the Caribbean. Perfect amount of heat for me. If you are sensitive, you may want the mild. I mix this at the ratio I believe I found on the company website. A ratio of 1 part EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) to 4 parts Walkerswood. I put a pretty large amount on my chicken, 1 tsp EVOO and 4 tsp Walkerswood for a large skinless breast, and pop in the fridge to marinate for about an hour. I'm sure homemade would be great too, but the wife doesn't like jerk chicken and it's not worth making homemade for two chicken breasts.I have used this on wings, a whole chicken, and boneless skinless chicken breast. This is a very good pre-made mix!5Look no further. This is the jerk marinade you want. No...you NEED.A co-worker of my wife is a pro-level BBQ kinda guy (competed to be a TV chef on that one network that deals with food). He brought in some wings that he had marinated in the mild jerk. She loved it and immediately ordered the mild and, knowing I'm about the burn, bought some of the hot 'n spicy.We've got a new tradition of smoking a dozen or so chicken legs (at $5 a pack to feed a family of 4, can't be beat!) and we marinate 1/2 in the mild jerk and 1/2 in the hot jerk.The flavor of both is great but the hot version, with delicious scotch bonnet and other traditional flavors cannot be beat.We love this stuff so much we've got a couple extra bottles. Considering how little you need to use (a large tablespoon will easily handle a dozen legs), we're stocked for at least the next year. Maybe.'Scuse me, I need to go order more... :)5Spicy, Spicy!This is true Jerk. Very tasty, but a bit on the spicy side. I think the mild might be more to my preference, but this had the Jerk flavor I have been looking for. Made Jerk pork ribs, rubbed them with this seasoning and created a mop of apple juice and this seasoning. The taste was phenomenal, but spicy. In hindsight, I would use a Memphis sweet rub and use this with the apple juice as the mop. Then it would be a home run.4Best Caribbean jerk seasoning ever!I love this stuff. I used to have to drive down to the farmer's market to get it, but now this is easier. It was wrapped up real nice in a lot of bubble wrap, and none of the glass appeared to be damaged, but I could really smell the seasoning when I opened the envelope, so I feel like the seal on at least one of the jars may have opened. It's fine, I just threw it in the fridge as soon as I got it. That's the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five.4Wonderful flavor!I have used Walker Woods for several years it is the best on the grill. All pieces of chicken are delicious. The longer you marinade it in a zip lock bag the spicier it becomes. Wonderful with a mango salsa! Great for parties! Freezes well also!5Best Jerk SeasoningUse a lot of jerk seasoning (beef jerky, chicken, pasta, etc.). Tried all sorts of brands. Walkerswood is the best. Sometimes hard to find. Glad to see it on Amazon. Made my own once that came out very close to Walkerswood - and sure enough the cost was about the same as buying the stuff already made for $7 bottle approx. Each bottle goes a long way and keeps in the frig for a long time.5The real deal jerk marinadeIt's the best jerk marinade on the market today. A little goes a long way. Try it on skinless bone-in or boneless chicken thighs on the grill. Marinade overnight. Cook chicken slowly to internal temperature 165-170F., and let rest for 10-15 min.5Actually quite good but packaging needs work!This rub is delicious! Of course I added a bit more seasoning to my chicken like brown sugar and other secret ingredients but this is pretty close to authentic. It s also pretty spicy even for me so if you can t handle spice, get the milder version or use less! My only complaint is that one of the bottles were leaking so please fix how they are packaged!4Delicious Jerk SauceThis is delicious Jerk sauce very, very good. Be careful it's also very hot. We originally found this in a little grocery store in Brooklyn NYC in a Jamaican neighborhood. Since we don't have access to this sauce in any local stores we found it on Amazon and order it here now. A jar lasts a long time since it is hot you only need a little it's best to put a spoonful on a piece of chicken before grilling.5
