Yummy and simple! And a little tip to help open the tough ones!I love that these are packaged and ready to go. My kids like to take them for lunch and I like to just grab a bag as a snack. I used to use those little snack-sized ziploc bags and package my own, but it is time consuming and you have to remember the expiration date as you no longer have the original bag.My shipments have never been old or near expiration. I have had that happen with other things and have gotten a replacement if they have actually been expired. The nuts have been nice quality and hardly any bad ones. I have had a few, but no more than in a big bag of nuts.Sometimes I find that they only have a tiny crack, and are difficult to open with my fingers. A nice trick to open them (without having to get out a cracker or pound them...and not use your teeth!) is to just use a shell from one you already cracked. Use push the tip in the tiny crack like a little pry tool and twist. I hardly have any I can't open that way...only the ones with NO crack. We sort of discovered this method when we had a bag on the beach and no tools...but were hungry. Necessity breeds invention! You will feel just like those videos of animals learning to use tools! ha ha!!5DisappointedWhen the item arrived, the pistachios were already very close to the expiration date. In addition, many packages are not fully sealed, leaking inside the box. I really like pistachios. But it was quite a waste of this purchase.1StaleI wrote a one word review, stale. Amazon in their infinite wisdom called that "insensitive" and hid the review despite its very high level of accuracy. Amazon needs to stop trying to hide valid reviews just to make more sales....1Old and rottenEvery other bag has had one or more rotten nuts. Normally, it's nothing you can see easily, but one nut had a whole worm instead of a pistachio. I kept eating them because I have low expectations, but I won't be ordering again. Thankfully, the same brand from Costco seems to be much higher quality. But these Amazon boxes must be getting shipped out of some ridiculously old stock.2Wonderful Pistachios Are Not Just A Company Name. They Really Are....I LOVE the Wonderful Brand Pistachio Nuts. Each bag that I have ever purchased seem to always have 100 percent easy open nuts. The shells have splits that are easy to open and I have never purchased any other brand that is such high quality and I love pistachio nuts! This brand, to me, is the absolute best. The individual portion size is perfect for snacking and I have never seen a multi pack of 24 portions like this in my local stores. Mostly there are just larger bags available, but these individual bags are far more convenient to just throw in your purse, backpack or briefcase. For these reasons I recommend these Wonderful Pistachios. It is not just a name!5Bugs, Rancid, and Rotten -- whether bought at Amazon or elsewhereI never write reviews, but am really annoyed at the suddenly consistent terrible quality of these after having them be really good last year. Ordered these multiple times in 2017 and they were great. Maybe one weird tasting nut per carton, if that. But now, the last two boxes I ordered, the quality is really disgustingly bad: (1) at least 20% of *each bag* is rancid or burned, with a dark brown color and weird "rotten" flavor, (2) at least 3 per bag have a weird "tangy" flavor that makes you want to spit them out, and (3) I finally looked closely at them and found tiny white worms (!!!!!). These aren't the navel orange meal worms some have found, they are skinny little white worms. My guess is the "tangy" flavored ones were orange worms and maybe these white ones are babies or worse, maggots. I'm SO GROSSED OUT. And guess what? I stopped at the drugstore and bought a larger bag of this brand, thinking maybe it was only the boxed ones from Amazon that had a problem, and I inspected the ones in the big bag and it has the same problems. This is a systemic issue. If you google "Wonderful Pistachios" and "worms" you will find a petition by people who have had this issue, as well as photos and articles about it. Also, it looks like a similar problem occurred in 2015, based on Amazon reviews, and Glassdoor reviews suggest the place is mis-managed, which could be why the quality is so suddenly bad, then good again, than bad. So I will not be buying this brand again.1Disgusting worm infested pistachios that can result in toxic moldI can't f'ing believe I ate several boxes of these sometimes very good, but often downright bad tasting pistachios. I assumed they were just burnt and kinda gross, but now I'm realizing I've been eating dead worms and their feces, plus potentially toxic mold. This will teach me to eat them in a darkened room.F'ing Amazon. I'm not happy. Perhaps my worst purchase from Amazon over a decade of religious purchasing.1So glad I didn t read the reviews firstThese are the perfect size and you can t beat the price on here- I ordered and without reading the reviews and I m so glad I didn t (yikes!). I haven t had any problems with my packages and I m about 2/3 of the way through the box now. I get maybe one nut in a package that is either burnt or completely closed up which is pretty on par with the ones I buy from the store (I included a picture of the latest one I found in a package but it s really not a big deal at all). Will be ordering these again in the future!5Watch out for worms.Have found worms or bugs in 6 out of 24 of the bags.1Worms and mold in at least 1/4 packets.Lots of moldy nuts, several with worms in them. At least most of the wormy ones have a kind of fibrous mold so you know right away they're bad. Wouldn't eat them in the dark! Also, a lot the nuts are very dry and dull and slightly shriveled. Finally, I would say 70% of the good ones have little holes in them at the tip where I suspect a worm tried to get in but didn't.I understand nuts are a natural product and learned all about Navel Orange Worms, but still doesn't make it pleasant to eat these in a constant state of paranoia.1
